"DEMON ENSLAVED
Lore is a Seminus half-breed demon who has been forced to act as his dark master's assassin. Now to earn his freedom and save his sister's life, he must complete one last kill. Powerful and ruthless, he'll stop at nothing to carry out this deadly mission.
AN ANGEL TEMPTED
Idess is an earthbound angel with a wild side, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She's determined to thwart her wickedly handsome adversary by any means necessary-even if that means risking her vow of eternal chastity. But what begins as a simple seduction soon turns into a passion that leaves both angel and demon craving complete surrender.
Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction."

On My Wishlist [#4] + Bonus Story =)

Hey guys, How is everyone doing? I can't believe it is the middle of the week already. That is so awesome, specially this week. Now it is only a couple days until we get to enjoy the Smut Slut Fest. I just can't wait for it! It's going to be so amazing...

This week On My Wishlist, I will only be posting one book that I really crave at the moment. Why? You might ask me... Well, me and Sagi from Sagi's Randomness had a little adventure at the mall today and I would like to share that story with you, along with some pics to illustrate it =)

On My Wishlist is a Meme Hosted by Book Chick City.

On My Wishlist this week is "First Drop of Crimson" by Jeaniene Frost. This book is a spin off of Frost's amazing Night Huntress series and I am dying to get my hands on it. I am pre-ordering it tomorrow from amazon and I'm actually ordering 2 c
opies. Do you guys know what that means??? No?? Come on, guess... It means that there will be one copy of First Drop of Crimson to giveaway here. Yep, that's right! I can't wait for that!

"The night is not safe for mortals. Denise MacGregor knows all too well what lurks in the shadows - her best friend is half-vampire Cat Crawfield - and she has already lost more than the average human could bear. But her family's dark past is wrapped in secrets and shrouded in darkness - and a demon shapeshifter has marked Denise as prey. Now her survival depends on an immortal who craves a taste of her.

He is Spade, a powerful, mysterious vampire who has walked the earth for centuries and is now duty-bound to protect this endangered, alluring human - even if it means destroying his own kind. Denise may arouse his deepest hungers, but Spade knows he must fight his urge to have her as they face the demon nightmare together...

Because once the first drop of crimson falls, they will both be lost."

Story time I guess lol.

I needed to stop by the mall where I got Baby Bones (My mini-laptop) today, so they could change the windows xp that is installed from Hebrew to English. I know some hevrew, but it is really annoying to have to guess most of the stuff.

So, we get there and the manager (the guy who sold it to me) wasn't there and they couldn't do it. Sagi and I decided to check out the bookstore. The thing is that, here in Israel, it's almost impossible to find Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Smut, Paranormal YA and so on. You can find the odd book around, but it usually is the third in a series or something like that. For that reason I gave up on finding my favorite books here, and also it is more expensive to buy it here than to buy it on amazon.

Well, I was really surprise to get to the "English" section of the Bookstore and find a bunch of
new books around and a bunch of UF, PNR and so on... Here is a pic of three I thought was really cool to see around:

By that point, I had already "sold" the idea of "Dark Visions" by L.J. Smith to Sagi and she was reading the blurb in the back of "Soulless" (which she also bought **evil grin**). Since she has never read smut before, I decided to try and hunt at least a nice PNR book for her and it was almost impossible. Picture this! Me walking around and checking every freaking shelf, like I was on a mission, Sagi behind me saying I wouldn't find any and then me just getting more and more obsessed in truing to find it LOL

Just then, I see a box of three of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series, though they were
Books 2, 3 and 4 in that series. I freak out LOL call out to Sagi and show it to her hehe. Then, I turned to the saleswoman and asked if they had those books separately, she looks at the books, looks at me and says:
"No, we don't. *pause* You know what these books are, right?? You know what they have in it?"
me: "Yeah, Thanks for your help" I turn, start laughing and tell Sagi what she said. WTH does that saleswoman care if I read that? Seriously? Only in Israel, I'm telling you LOL.

We then move on to take a look at the other, smaller, bookstore at the mall. There, I find GOLD
hehe. I find the three first books in the Night Huntress
Series by Jeaniene Frost and almost start jumping up and down. Seriously! I was this close (thumb and forefinger almost touching) to doing my happy dance in the middle of the shop LOL. Here is the proof that they have the NH series in Israel:

Of course, I just have to convince Sagi to buy the book; and of course she does and says: "Going with you to a Bookstore is so dangerous" LOL. What can I say? She is right hehe *evil grin*

This is me and Chapter 32 LOL (They only had one copy of each Book in the series, so the Book next to Chap. 32 is not the same book):

To finish up, while we were walking around we saw something that made me think of Susi @ The
Geeky Bookworm. I know she likes SpongeBob Squarepants and I do too. So, this is for you Susi:

Well, guys. That is it for now. I hope you enjoyed Sagi's and mine moments of madness. Well, with me it's more that I get moments of sanity, but I digress =)

Thanks for tuning in and I'll see you soon.

xoxo

On My Wishlist [#3]

Wow, it's already Wednesday again. Time has seriously been flying =) Well, since we got to the middle of the week once again, you know what time it is, right?

On My Wishlist is a weekly feature hosted by Book Chick City, where we list the books we have acraving for, though we have not bought them yet.

I'm going to start this wishlist with one of my favorite series ever. Kitty's House of Horrors is Book #7 in the Kitty Norville Series. Kitty is a Werewolf that has a popular Radio Show where she talk about the Creatures that hunt the night, called "Kitty and The Midnight Hour". I just LOVE Kitty and her world. Can't Wait for this book.

"Talk radio host and werewolf Kitty Norville has agreed to appear on TV's first all-supernatural reality show. She's expecting cheesy competitions and manufactured drama starring shapeshifters, vampires, and psychics. But what begins as a publicity stunt will turn into a fight for her life.

The cast members, including Kitty, arrive at the remote mo
untain lodge where the show is set. As soon as filming starts, violence erupts and Kitty suspects that the show is a cover for a nefarious plot. Then the cameras stop rolling, cast members start dying, and Kitty realizes she and her monster housemates are ironically the ultimate prize in a very different game. Stranded with no power, no phones, and no way to know who can be trusted, she must find a way to defeat the evil closing in . . . before it kills them all."

Release Date: Jan. 04, 2010

Books in the Series, in the order they should be Read:

Next up is Book #2 in the Dorina Basarb Series by Karen Chance. This series is a Spin-Off of the great Cassandra Palmer Series. I have been waiting for a while for this one and it is finally going to come out next month. YAY!

"Dorina Basarab is a dhampir—half-human, half-vampire. Subject to uncontrollable rages, most dhampirs live very short, very violent lives. So far, Dory has managed to maintain her sanity by unleashing her anger on those demons and vampires who deserve killing.

Back home in Brooklyn after the demise of her insane uncle Dracula, Dory’s hoping her life is about to calm down. But then she gets some visitors. A friend wants Dory’s help in finding a magical Fey relic, and the gorgeous vampire, Louis-Cesare, is desperate to find his former mistress Christine.

Dory and Louis-Cesare quickly discover that the same master vampire Christine is bound to is also rumored to be in possession of the relic. But when the master vampire turns up dead, they realize that there’s more at stake than a missing mistress. Someone is killing vampire Senate members, and if Dory and Louis-Cesare can’t stop the murderer, they may be next…"

From GoodReads.

Release Date: Jan. 05, 2010.

To finish up, Lori Handeland's Phoenix Chronicles Series, is a series I have been coveting for a while now =)

"Elizabeth Phoenix once used her unique skills as a psychic to help in the Milwaukee Police Department’s fight against injustice. But when Liz’s foster mother is found viciously murdered—and Liz is discovered unconscious at the scene—her only memory of the crime comes in the form of terrifying dreams...of creatures more horrific than anything Liz has seen in real life. What do these visions mean? And what in the world do they have to do with her former lover, Jimmy Sanducci?

While the police question Jimmy in the murder, Jimmy opens Liz’s eyes to a supernatural war that has raged since the dawn of time in which innocent people are hunted by malevolent beings disguised as humans. Only a chosen few have the ability to fight their evil, and Jimmy believes Liz is among them. Now, with her senses heightened, new feelings are rising within Liz—ones that re-ignite her dangerous attraction to Jimmy. But Jimmy has a secret that will rock Liz to her core…and put the survival of the human race in peril."

On My Wishlist [#2]

Another Wednesday and another wishlist =) I have so many books I want right now hehe. So, I try to come up with a good mix of series I haven't read yet, series I have been following for a while and new series on my roster =)

Shades of Midnight is the 7th Book on Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed Series. I love this series and the mythology Lara has created for her Vamps =) The structure of the series is similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. Each book follows a main couple
and their journey into their HEA (Happly Ever After). However, I think that similarities apart, I find that The Midnight Breed Books have found a very special place in my heart. I can't wait for Kade's story in this book =) Besides, the cover is so hawt and is in the colors of my Homeland =P

Release Date: December 29th 2009

Summary:

"In a frozen wilderness steeped
in darkness, the lines between good and evil, lover and enemy, are never black or
white but drawn in Shades of Midnight.

Something inhuman is stalking the frigid Alaskan wilds, leaving unspeakable carnage in its wake. For bush pilot Alexandra
Maguire, the killings stir memories of a horrific event she witnessed as a child and evoke in her the inexplicable sense of otherness she has long felt within herself but never fully understood . . . until a darkly seductive stranger with secrets of his own enters her world.
Sent from Boston on a mission to investigate the savage attacks and stop the slaughter, vampire warrior Kade has his own reasons for returning to
the frigid, forbidding place of his birth. Haunted by a secret shame, Kade soon realizes the stunning truth of the threat he faces–a threat that will jeopardize the fragile bond he has formed with the courageous, determined young woman who arouses his deepest passions and most primal hungers. But in
bringing Alex into his world of blood and darkness, Kade
must confront both his own personal demons and the even greater evil that could destroy all he holds dear."

The Midnight Breed Series:
(in order)

My next Wishlist pick is the 2nd book in The Persephone Alcmedi series by Linda Robertson, Hallowed Circle. I bought the eBook for the the 1st book, Vicious Circle, on a whim and really enjoyed Persephone's world and journey. This week the Author has announced that there will be 4 books in the series so far. That makes me happy =)

Release Date: December 29th 2009

Summary from Book 1:

"A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do....

Being a witch doesn't pay the bills, but Persephone Alcmedi gets by between reading Tarot cards, writing her syndicated newspaper column, and kenneling werewolves in the basement when the moon is full -- even if witches aren't supposed to mingle with wolves. She really reaches the end of her leash, though, when her grandmother gets kicked out of the nursing home and Seph finds herself in the doghouse about some things she's written. Then her werewolf friend Lorrie is murdered...and the high priestess of an important coven offers Seph big money to destroy the killer, a powerful vampire named Goliath Kline. Seph is a tough girl, but this time she bites off more than she can chew. She needs a little help from her friends -- werewolf friends. One of those friends, Johnny, the motorcycle-riding lead singer for the techno-metal-Goth band Lycanthropia, has a crush on her. And while Seph has always been on edge around this 6'2" leather-clad hunk, she's starting to realize that although their attraction may be dangerous, nothing could be as lethal as the showdown that awaits them."

Book 2:

"Exciting urban fantasy featuring Persephone Alcmedi, a modern-day witch with a sexy rock'n'roll werewolf
boyfriend."

The Persephone Alcmedi Series:
(in order)

#3 - Fatal Circle (June 29th 2010)
#4 - Arcane Circle

Last but not least is the 1st in The Demonica Series by my *xara (Portuguese word for someone that has the same name as you) Larissa Ione. Pleasure Unbound. This series looks amazing and I gotta get to reading it ASAP.

Summary:

"In a place where ecstasy can cost you your life . . .

She's a demon-slayer who hungers for sensual pleasure-but fears it will always be denied her. Until Tayla Mancuso lands in a hospital run by demons in disguise, and the head doctor, Eidolon, makes her body burn with unslakable desire. But to prove her ultimate loyalty to her peers, she must betray the surgeon who saved her life.

Two lovers will dare to risk all.

Eidolon cannot resist this fiery, dangerous woman who fills him with both rage and passion. Not only is she his avowed enemy, but she could very well be the hunter who has been preying upon his people. Torn between his need for the truth and his quest to find his perfect mate before a horrific transformation claims him forever, Eidolon will dare the unthinkable-and let Tayla possess him, body and soul..."

On My Wishlist [#1]

New feature on the blog guys :)

"On My Wishlist" is a Weekly Blog Meme hosted by Book Chick City which will be posted every Wednesday. It allows us to share the book we haven't bought yet, but are dying to get and devour. My wishlist gets longer by the day, so I will have plenty of treats to share with you every week :)

If you would like to take part and have your own 'On My Wishlist' post then you can find more info here.

The first book is The Host, Stephenie Meyer's, of "Twilight" fame, incursion in the "adult" public. I LOVED The Twilight Saga and I heard about this book a little while back and I am very interested to see if she can do well with this public and genre. The Host dwells more in the Sci-Fi arena and I think it might be really interesting. There are two potential sequels for The Host; The Soul and The Seeker, though it has NOT been confirmed.

Title: The Host

Author: Stephenie Meyer

Genre: Sci-fi / Fantasy

Publisher: Little, Brown and Company

Publication Date: 06 May, 2008

The Host @Amazon

Summary:

"a gripping story of love and betrayal in a future with the fate of humanity at stake.

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind.

Melanie fills Wanderer

's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves-Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love."

From GoodReads

Divine Misdemeanors is the 8th book in the Merry Sentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton. According to LKH, Merry was born from her need to take a break from Anita. LKH was in the 5th books of the Anita Blake series in 2000 when "A Kiss of Shadows" (Merry #1) came out.

I love this series. It's not Anita and it does not try to be. Merry has her own rich world and her story is in the wonderful hands of Laurell, who has brought so many great books to the fore.

Title: Divine Misdemeanors

Author: Laurell K. Hamilton

Genre: Urban Fantasy (Romance)

Publisher: Ballantine Books

Publication Date: 08 December, 2009

Divine Misdemeanors @amazon

Summary:

***CONTAIN SPOILERS***

"You may know me best as Meredith Nic Essus, princess of faerie. Or perhaps as Merry Gentry, Los Angeles private eye. In the fey and mortal realms alike, my life is the stuff of royal intrigue and celebrity drama. Among my own, I have confronted horrendous enemies, endured my noble kin’s treachery and malevolence, and honored my duty to conceive a royal heir—all for the right to claim the throne. But I turned my back on court and crown, choosing exile in the human world—and in the arms of my beloved Frost and Darkness.

While I may have rejected the monarchy, I cannot abandon my people. Someone is killing the fey, which has left the LAP

D baffled and my guardsmen and me deeply disturbed. My kind are not easily captured or killed. At least not by mortals. I must get to the bottom of these horrendous murders, even if that means going up against Gilda, the Fairy Godmother, my rival for fey loyalties in Los Angeles.

But even stranger things are happening. Mortals I once healed with magic are suddenly performing miracles, a shocking phenomenon wreaking havoc on human/faerie relations. Though I am innocent, dark suspicions of banned magical activities swirl around me.

I thought I’d left the blood and politics behind in my own turbulent realm. I had dreamed of an idyllic life in sunny L.A. with my beloved ones beside me. But it becomes time to wake up and realize that evil knows no borders, and that nobody lives forever—even if they’re magical."

From GoodReads

The Books from the Merry Gentry series:

#1 A Kiss of Shadows

#2 A Caress of Twilight

#3 Seduced by Moonlight

#4 A Stroke of Midnight

#5 Mistral's Kiss

#6 A Lick of Frost

I found Jeri Smith-Ready's WMVP series a few months ago and love her Vamp DJs. I ended up reading her Aspect of Crow trilogy and simply fell in love with it (I will be reviewing that series here soon =] )

Shade is Jeri's Young Adult (YA) debut. The first in a new series that I am definitely looking forward to try out :)

Title: Shade

Author: Jeri Smith-Ready

Genre: Urban Fantasy (YA)

Publisher: Simon Pulse

Publication Date: 18 May, 2010

Summary:

"When Aura's boyfriend dies a most untimely death, she is forced to reconsider her relationship with the living and the dead alike"
