Hey There my dear readers! =) Top 5 Sundays time is here! YAY!

Let’s get right to it, shall we?

This week’s results:

image

Favorite Sci-Fi Movies! = 7 (28%)

Favorite Genres NOT UF or PNR! = 13 (52%)

UF Book Recs to Guys! = 5 (20%)

The theme for today is:

Favorite Genres NOT UF or PNR!

But first, a little bit about this feature and the rules to join in…

Every Sunday I will post a TOP 5 list on the blog. It can be about anything and every week I'll have a new theme {You can vote on next week’s theme on my left sidebar!} and I will ad the Mr.Linky bellow the post so you can do a list with the theme and add you link to it.

Rules:

  1. Write a post listing your TOP 5 choices within the theme I chose (or was chosen on a poll) for the week.

  2. Mention this Blog on the post and link back to it.

  3. Fell free to use the Feature's image (there is a smaller size version of it bellow)

  4. After you've finished your post, add you link (of the post, not your blog's main page) to the Mr.Linky at the end of that week's post.

  5. If you don’t have a blog to post, just leave your list in the comments =)

This week’s theme is Favorite Genres NOT UF or PNR!

I am an avid Paranormal devourer reader, YA, Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance and anything that might fit in that category, but even a lover like me needs a break once in a while and here are some of the genres I usually turn to =)

*in no particular order

Literary {S&M/Ms} Erotica

Tender Mercies Comfort Foodimage

LOVE Kitty Thomas books and from her rec I ended up reading “As She’s Told” and Loved it as well!

Definitely not a genre for everyone.

Gay Romance

All She Wrote (Holmes & Moriarity, #2)Trust Me If You Dare (Romano and Albright, #2)

I am a huge Josh Lanyon fan and I’ll read anything he puts put, but his more humorous side is awesome and led me to L.B. Gregg, Score!

Contemporary Romance

The Royal Treatment (Alaskan Royal Family, #1)The Unidentified Redhead (The Redhead Series, #1)Talk Me Down (Tumble Creek, #1)

For the longest time I turned my nose to contemporary romance, but I finally gave in and I am so glad I did!

The funny incarnations by MJD, Victoria Dahl and Alice Clayton are amongst the best!

Space Opera

Grimspace (Sirantha Jax, #1)Alien in the Family (Katherine "Kitty" Katt, #3)

Spaceships, Alien and Adventures Oh My!

Fantasy

Eyes Of Crow (Aspect of Crow, #1)Northern Lights (His Dark Materials, #1)The Fellowship of the Ring

Not to dis the Urban kind, but pure Fantasy will always have a part of my heart!

Special Mentions:

Steampunk

Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate, #1)Phoenix Rising (Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences #1)

Dystopian

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)Inside Out (Insider, #1)

Attention!

Please HELP!

If you have any theme ideas for the next Top 5 Sundays Posts, please leave them in the comments!

Your input would be much appreciated!

Getting to Know You

Good Morning~ My name is LB Gregg and I write m/m romantic comedies for a variety of publishers including Carina Press and Samhain. Because I'm new to Larissa's blog, I thought a quick Q&A would break the ice. Larissa (and you) can learn a bit about me, and I can relax and not have to write an entire post! gobsmacked

Yes. I cheated.

Here we go:

What's Your favorite fruit?

Why do I feel like that's a trick question? I dedicated an entire Pineapple post to author pal Carolyn Crane (aka CJ) a couple of years ago because it's my favorite fruit next to big bananas.

9705875Pepsi or Coke?

Diet Coke. Hands down. Period. The end. Yes I want that hat. And yes, I can tell Coke from Pepsi in a taste test! Coke is it!

Dogs or Cats?

I'm a big fan of LOL Cats and I've owned four cats over the years, but I'm totally a dog person. They're so smart and loyal. They protect you. And they eat leftovers. Currently I have a (fat) beagle (see aforementioned fact about leftovers) and I have a very old, very crabby 7 pound mini-doxie. She's a little shit.lbgregg_catchmeifyoucan (1)

What' your favorite band/artist?

I listen to everything from Indie to Rock to Pop. I love Justin Timberlake (for so many, many reasons) and I might listen to the Smiths or Leon Russell or Robin Thicke as my mood changes. Probably the Counting Crows and Incubus are my long term favorites, but my current playlist has Temper Trap, Adam Lambert, Kate Nash, Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple on it. Oh and I love the soundtrack to Kick A$$.

6900913 Beer or wine?

Wine. Pinot Grigio or Pinot Noir. Possibly I just like to say 'Pinot'.

What's your least favorite color?

Orange. Blerg.

Do you prefer your guy in boxer or briefs?

Boxer briefs.

Favorite TV Show?

My all time favorite show is Arrested Development. I can't wait for the movie!TrustMeIfYouDare72LG (1)

Favorite Movie?

One? Just ONE? **bites nails** Anything with Alan Rickman. Or Russell Crowe.

Favorite Book?

One? Just ONE?

My Desert Island Keeper list includes: Dreaming of You by Lisa Klepas; Death of a Pirate King by Josh Lanyon; Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie; Hat Full of Sky by Terry Pratchett; Dead to the World by Charlaine Harris; Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught; My Fair Captain by the ever sweet JL Langley; Demon Moon by Meljean Brook; and Breaking Point by Suzanne Brockmann (Max & Gina!)  That's a long list!

Giveaway!

I'd like to add to your list of books by offering a signed copy of Catch Me If You Can, Romano & Albright Book 1 to one reader.  All you have to do is tell me your favorite Justin Timberlake song (if you don't have one, make it up) and I'll put you in the running!

International!

Ends February 4th!

Good Luck!

2for1 Review: Romano & Albright Series {Books #1 and #2} by L.B. Gregg

lb gregg series

Catch Me If Yout Can: The fear of getting caught is half the fun.

Lowly art gallery assistant Caesar Romano is freely out of the closet. Now he’d just like to get out of his Nana’s guest room. Everything—his reputation and his financial freedom—is riding on the success of tonight’s gallery opening. If only he could shake free of the past so easily.

A mysterious gatecrasher, Dan Green, looks like a promising addition to his pending new life—until Caesar’s ex shows up and suddenly the opening disintegrates into a half-naked dance melee. When the glitter settles, a missing sculpture of Justin Timberlake has Caesar up to his eyebrows in extortion, intrigue and a wild sexual adventure underneath, inside, and on top of a variety of furnishings.

As the cast of suspects piles up, so do the questions. Like who’s really blackmailing whom? And what does a stolen paint-by-numbers clown matter when Dan is so outrageously capable of blowing Caesar’s resistance to smithereens?

This book contains graphic language, sex, lies, intrigue, clowns, kleptomania, anal sex, oral sex, mutual masturbation, bad driving, good cooking, and the missing head of a Justin Timberlake statue. Not for the sour of disposition.

Trust Me If You Dare: Romano and Albright, Book 2

*SPOILER FREE

I absolutely LOVE some M/M romance and after seeing so many great reviews of this series by L.B. Gregg, I had to give it a shot. I am so freaking glad I did!

Catch Me If You Can is an absolute comedy of errors with Romano at it’s center. Romano is in one word a mess! He is getting nothing out of his job and his love life is DOA. It all changes after the most recent showing at the gallery where he works. A mysterious Dective Dan seems to be watching him, Justin Timberlake’s head is missing, his ex-boyfriend showed up and made a fool of himself and some people are being blackmailed…

Catch Me If You Can was hilarious from start to finish and the mystery definitely kept me on my toes. Not to mention that Romano and Albright’s chemistry definitely sizzles off the page and warms up your insides.

Right after I was done with Catch Me If You Can, I went straight (no pun intended) ahead and delved into Trust Me If You Dare. In this sequel the stakes are definitely higher. Romano and Albright are trying to make their new relationship work even though Albright is working for his ex-boyfriend and a mysterious guest.

L.B. Gregg had done a marvelous job in creating and cultivating these characters. By the end of Catch Me If You Can you feel like you know these people and are pretty invested in their lives, while at the same time keeping up the right amount of mystery to keep you glued to the page.

I am extremely glad I gave this series a chance! I am an unconditional fan of Josh Lanyon’s and finding such an awesome writer in L.B. Gregg just means my M/M reading will be doubled… SCORE!

If you like reading M/M novels or if you are thinking of giving the genre a try, i definitely recommend this series. You won’t regret it!
