The Good:
I still LOVE the world Wendy has created and I love that we never know what she has in store around the corner. Katla’s voice as a protagonist is amazing as well and you can’t help but be completely enthralled by her plea.
The Bad:
I really loved Jack in Stork, but I don’t know, I feel that maybe we need another strong male lead to create some tension in the story? I enjoy plot lines where the main couple’s love is tested by stronger forces and all, but I felt that Jack was too easily compelled and after all that he made Katla go through he simply wasn’t grateful and apologetic enough.
I don’t think this is something negative about the book per say, but it’s definitely something that made me annoyed, along with Katla’s single-mindedness about Jack.
The Young Hearts:
As I said about above, the romance left me unsatisfied in this one. I like Jack and all, but maybe there is someone out there that is better for Katla?
The Adventure:
That is something I feel Wendy Desol did extremelly well! Great plot, world buiding and adventurous journey for our leading lady.
All in all, Frost was a great and one-sitting read for me and it definitely made me hunger for more from this world an characters. It’s originality and characters have what it takes to take you into the story and not let you go and I will be eagerly waiting for the next book in the series.
