This Side of Heaven was such a pleasant surprise and I’m so glad that I got the chance to read it.

Samara Hale is mourning the lost of the only father she has ever known, her uncle. In the aftermath of his death, she finds herself organizing his things when a stranger called Telal walks through the door and turns her world and life upside down.

All her life her uncle told her stories of angels and demons, Telal shakes up her world by telling her that all those stories are true and that he is in charge of her protection.

An overwhelming attraction pull them together and the heat is unbelievable, but Samara is still finding hard to believe that not only Angels and Demons are for real, but she is also an empath and part of long ago told prophecy that puts in her in danger of attack from power hungry Demons.

Telal has been in charge of Samara’s safety for her whole life and in love with her for a long time. He is half-Demon and half-Angel, but he has chosen to fight the ultimate war on the side of the good guys and the rule forbid him of pursuing the love he feels for Samara.

When Demons come on the hun for Samara, everything changes and her and Telal go into hiding. Hiding up in close quarters brings them closer together and gets braking all the rules for an attraction and feelings that cannot be denied any longer.

I loved this story, the world Fallon Blake created is very rich and has so much potential. The romance did take the forefront, but the ultimate plot is compelling and definitely gets you on the edge of your seat with plenty action and jaw-dropping surprises along the way.

There a few villains in this book and they are mainly demons with awful power and creepy as hell, but the main villain is so awful and his nature is very surprising, it was an extremely pleasant twist in my opinion.

The only thing that bothered me is that it was too short, I wanted so much more and I just hope that it becomes a series, because that is too much potential to be denied. If you are into Paranormal Romance, I definitely recommend This Side of Heaven as a great quick and very enjoyable read.
