The Tumble Creek series was my first foray into the Contemporary Romance [CR] world and I have to say that I LOVED it. There are so many CR books put there and to be quite honest, they have never really drawn me. I usually need my books to have a lot fantastic elements and have at least one foot in the paranormal.
However, Dahl’s books were such a great read that i read them all back to back in just a couple days, now I want more hehe
Each of these books tells the story of a romance being born in a practically frozen small town in the U.S. Tumble creek is a charming little place and you can’t help but being hooked in.
I loved that even though the romance in these novels were sizzling hot and got me fanning myself a few times, the plot in each of the books in quite interesting and it does not get lost in the smut.
We get stalkers, ex-boyfriends, unrequited love turns hatred, social class differences, family issues, bikers and much more in the Tumble Creek series and i could not recommend it more. If you are into steamy romances, these are definitely the books for you!
I just wish there were more books in this series, I wanted to read more about these couples futures hehe =)
My Favorite Book in the Series: Book #1, Talk me down, I loved Molly and Ben’s chemistry.
My Least Favorite Book in the Series: Book #3, Lead me on, I actually really enjoyed the book, but I just can’t stand the whole “guys with tattoos are bad” paradigm, so that was a thorn on my side. I did enjoy Jane and Chase’s romance though and how he broke all her prejudices.
