Kitty Norville, werewolf radio call-in show host, gets a call from an old friend at the NIH’s Center for the Study of Paranatural Biology, a friend with a problem, who doesn’t know where else to turn. Three Army soldiers who have recently returned from the war in Afghanistan are in custody at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs. They’re also werewolves suffering from post traumatic stress, unable to control their shape-shifting, unable to interact with people. Kitty agrees to see them, curious and wanting to help. Meanwhile, Kitty gets sued for slander after featuring Speedy Mart—a chain of 24-hour convenience stores with a reputation for attracting the supernatural—on her show, and an old friend-and-adversary has just been released from jail.

I was really looking forward to get my hands on Kitty Goes to War, the cover is gorgeous and the plot sounded awesome! Besides our beloved Cormac is finally back!
Kitty Goes to War is a great addition to the series. The introduction of the werewolves in the military was a great one and it made for a great and emotional story.
This time Kitty doesn’t go away, so we get more Ben and with the return of Cormac things have the potential to get really awkward, but for me that storyline just fell flat =/ Cormac being back is an awesome addition to the series, but I felt like more could have been done with it. However I did really enjoy finally finding out his secret and I am dying to see how that pans out.
All in all, even though I liked Kitty Goes to War, I didn’t love it. I feel like something was missing from it, but plot wise it was a very entertaining book that I actually couldn’t put down until I finished. The action is great and it definitely is a page turner, but emotionally it just fell short.

Agree with you as well Larissa. I liked the book, but was kind of hoping for more. More Cormac. More something. It just felt a little too...I don't know, not as exciting as the previous books?
Hopefully the next one will be better. As much as I like the series I'm wondering how much further it can continue on.
I'm two books behind *cries* Cormac's back? Love him - must pull these out of my TBR and get started reading!!!

Do you think it's because the series is on book 8 that it fell a little flat? I've found sometimes books in a series are rushed to publication and lose a little heart along the way.
I'm going to have to give this series a try though-you are tearing through these books.
I do LOVE this series and I havent found any of the books bad... but the last two did disappoint me a bit... nothing that will get me giving up on it though!
Im still a huge fan of the series!
I dont know if the length has anything to do with it, i mean, because of the length Im willing to forgive a couple of less than stellar books as long the books pick up the quality =D
I do recommend this series with fervor, its a great one!!
