Get ready, ‘cause yep, this will be another rave review for another book in this series and I will warn you… Every single book in this series deserves one! They are THAT good!

This time around we get to see Smitty, Alpha of the New York pack, find his Happily Ever After with Jessie Ann, the girl he left behind 16 years ago when he joined the Navy. She was just this scrawny Wild-Dog Shifter back then who he kept having to save from his sister and her friends’ bullying. A girl that he believed could never be the Alpha female to his Alpha male of a Smith pack.

Sixteen years later and Jessie Ann is none other that multi-millionaire, Jessica Ward, Tech mogul. Not only is she super successful career wise, she is Alpha female of 40+ Wild-Dogs. When Smitty run into her while working with his security firm to keep an event safe, he sees that the girl he met a long time ago has become the woman of his dreams.

I was never the biggest fan of Smitty in The Mane Event, his slow drawl talk annoyed me, to be quite honest. However, he actually grew on me in this book and I absolutely loved reading about him chasing his Jessie Ann. Not to mention that Jessie Ann is a girl after my own heart, Geeky and cute as hell! Not to mention, absolutely wacky at times hehe.

"A karaoke bar?" Mitch glared at him. "You dragged us to a karaoke bar?"
She didn't tell me it was karaoke."
You know it's bad enough having to listen to you guys howl all the time. But this...this may be asking too much. Dogs. Singing." Mitch turned to the bar and lashed Smitty with another glare. "And no goddamn liquor. You know, as per shifter law, I could legally kill you."

Not to mention that we get a cameo from my favorite lovable and psychotic bitch, Sara, the Alpha Female of the Magnus Pack! So awesome!

Another winner for Shelly Laurenston, The Beast in Him is a joy to read and another hilariously funny installment in The Pride Series that just made me love this series even more. I could seriously not recommend this series enough to you guys… It’s a Paranormal Romance MUST READ!
