I’ve never been a science fiction buff, but I fell in love with Firefly a while ago and opened me up more to this spacious world.
When it comes to books, I have made it clear that my absolute love goes out to Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance, but this blog has been an amazing vehicle and because of it I’ve been able to get to know and fall in love with different genres.
My first and most significant foray into the literary Sci-fi romance world was with Ann Aguirre’s Sirantha Jax series, which I love. I then had the chance to read Julia Rachel Barrett’s Captured and I can now say that Sci-fi romance is a genre that has captivated my heart,even though i don’t actively look for books in it.
What is the appeal of these love stories that usually take place in outer space? Like any fiction, that appeal is in escaping reality, escaping the norm and letting your imagination flow.
We have always been fascinated by what its known as the the final frontier, there are so many TV shows, Movies and Books in the subject and we can’t help but get lost in the possibilities that there might be life in other planets.
With Fantastic fiction, the chances of Vamps, Were, Witches and etc, existing is close to none, but with sci-fi, there is always a basis in science and that possibility makes it closer to possible and therefore more intriguing in my opinion.

I don't think I've ever read sci-fi romance, I've always preferred readind Paranormal and Urban Fantasy.
